The Turkevi Center will be 32 stories high, and located across from the UN Headquarters in 'Consulate Row'.
Architecture firm Perkins Eastman has released its plans for the new 18,500 square meter Republic of Turkey mission, consulate and residential building in Manhattan, New York.
Turkevi Center will be located opposite the United Nations Headquarters, in an area known as ‘Consulate Row’.
The 32 story building will be replacing an 11 story building currently on the site, and will have views extending from Long Island to Downtown Manhattan.
Perkins Eastman have created a contemporary skyscraper that adds a new dimension to the already diverse New York skyline.
Inspired by the crescent on the Turkish flag, the architects designed the building with a curving glass façade.
The Turkevi Center is expected to be completed in 2018.
