Tehran
Tehran, population 15 million, is the capital city of Iran. It is built on the foot of Alborz mountains with steep streets and beautiful mountain views north of the city covered with snow most of the year. The streets are busy with traffic and the public transportation is inexpensive. The city is a metropolis with a vibrant restaurant scene, art galleries, museums with ancient treasures and imposing mosques. It is Iran’s centre of cultural, economical, political and social activities.
Isfahan
With its tree-lined boulevards and Persian gardens and important Islamic buildings, according to Lonely Planet, Isfahan is the most popular tourist destination in Iran. It has a historic bazaar, beautiful bridges and the UNESCO-listed Naqsh-e Jahan Square.
Shiraz
With over 850,000 residents, according to the Iran Chamber Society.
Shiraz is one of the most beautiful, historical cities in the world with mosques, temples, tombs and bazaars. Located in southern Iran near the Zagros Mountains, Shiraz has royal landscaped gardens.
