Dubai Land Department has launched the first Gulf Real Estate Awards, created to recognise excellence in the region, across the real estate sector.
The Gulf Real Estate Awards aims to recognise and encourage exceptional practices among many stakeholders in the real estate industry, including developers, consultants, brokers, contractors, engineering and legal services.
Companies of all sizes within the Gulf region have been encouraged to enter, regardless of private or public status. The Awards encourage businesses to enter any of the 21 categories offered, with some of the titles including 'Best Real Estate Brokerage Firm', 'Best Real Estate Portal', 'Happiest Community' and 'Best Real Estate Developer - Sustainable “Green” Development'.
Director General of the Land Department, His Excellency Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, said at a press conference that the awards came from the directives towards increased innovation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
"These awards are an expression of our commitment to stimulating innovation in the real estate sector, by inspiring creativity and exceptional practices that lead to sustainable growth in the Gulf region" said Bin Mejren at the press conference to launch the awards. "These awards are an incentive for companies operating in the real estate sector to compete with each other and improve their services and projects."
The event will take place at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai on the 16th and 17th April 2017, and will be attended by the region's top business leaders, entrepreneurs, developers, bankers, and proffesionals.
