High footfall and vivid business interactions mark a successful end of Project Lebanon’s 23rd edition.
Recording an increase in footfall among local and regional visitors, combined with vibrant business interactions and dynamic concurrent events, Project Lebanon 2018 has wrapped up its 23rd edition successfully.
The 23rd International Trade Exhibition for Construction Materials and Equipment for Lebanon and the Middle East took place at the end of July in Beirut, welcoming 400 exhibitors that represented 1,162 brands from 17 countries. The exhibition attracted 15,982 visitors from Lebanon and the region, showcasing a wide range of construction products, equipment, machinery, and materials, and provided a fundamental platform for networking, learning, and negotiating deals.
The exhibition gained the support of the Order of Engineers and Architects of Beirut, the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, ASHRAE Lebanese Chapter, the Lebanese Green Building Council, and the Lebanese Solar Energy Society.
Commenting on their participation at Project Lebanon, Marc Charabati, General Manager – East Mediterranean Countries at Schneider Electric, said, “I’m very impressed, I didn’t expect the exhibition to attract this number of visitors. We received Engineers and Contractors from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Egypt. These visitors are interested in exploring the latest technologies on display at Project Lebanon. This is a testament to Project Lebanon’s good reputation in Lebanon and the region.”
Francesca Zadro, Trade Commissioner at the Italian Trade Agency also shared her feedback, saying, “We’ve been here for 12 consecutive years. This is an important investment for the Italian government and we have high expectations for the Lebanese market. We believe Lebanon is the gateway to the Middle East and the Gulf countries. So far it is going very well, the companies are happy and we hope they will come back next year and establish business here in Lebanon. Thanks to the organizers for the incredible job they have been doing.”
Project Lebanon was held concurrently with Energy Lebanon, the 8th International Trade Exhibition for Power, Electrical Engineering, Alternative Energy, Lighting, HVAC, Water and Environmental Technologies. Energy Lebanon addresses the energy needs of the construction and development sectors, including large industrial, commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
The exhibition also featured two key conferences: Ecorient; the International Conference for Environmental Technologies, Sustainability, and Clean Energy, that touched upon the efforts towards achieving a greener Middle East, as well as the Syria Business Forum that brought together experts to examine the requirements for the reconstruction and development of Syria’s infrastructure, strategies for economic development, and protecting National Heritage.
