Sharpoorji Pallonji Middle East joins Drees & Sommer, B+H Architects, and Khatib & Alami as key stakeholders for 160,000 square metre luxury development, Qaryat al Hidd.
Shapoorji Pallonji Middle East has been announced as the main contractor for a AED 1.5 billion development on Saadiyat Island, UAE.
The company has been awarded the contract for Saadiyat Development and Investment Company’s (SDIC) 160,000 sqm Qaryat al Hidd development, which consists of over 900 luxury apartments spread across 12 buildings.
Each apartment is either one, two, three or four-bedroom in size and all of them have waterfront views.
Shapoorji Pallonji Middle East will be working alongside consultants Drees & Sommer, B+H Architects Corp. and Khatib & Alami on the project.
SDIC’s board member H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Saeed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “The wealth of global experience and proven track record of delivering excellence on time and within budget was a key decision when selecting contractors for this project.
‘‘The elegant design of the homes, the combination of a natural environment and waterfront lifestyle, a family-focused design and easy access to Abu Dhabi and Dubai’s business hubs, will ensure this development will be extremely popular with end-users.”
Qaryat al Hidd is a part of the wider 1.5 million sqm Hidd al Saadiyat masterplan development on Saadiyat Island.
It will feature amenities such as parks, playgrounds, shops, restaurants and resorts.
Shapoorji Pallonji Middle East’s Mohandass Saini said: “We are honoured and excited to partner with world-class developer SDIC to develop the exquisite beachfront residential property ‘Qaryat Al Hidd’ in the Saadiyat Island, and we are committed and geared to complete the project on time”.
