An integrated lifestyle community focusing on middle-income living is in development in Bahrain by Nshmi International.
Nshmi International, a UAE based Real Estate Company, has signed a 50:50 joint venture agreement with a local private investment company to develop the Kingdom of Bahrain’s first-of-its-kind integrated lifestyle community that focuses on middle-income living.
Fred Durie, General Manager of Nshmi International said “The joint venture marks a significant step for us as we pioneer the concept of accessible modern living in Bahrain. A sustainable and networked community that offers various lifestyle choices, Al Raffah Bahrain emphasises on creating long-term value for residents and investors. The unique value proposition of the development – value homes at competitive prices and in a modern environment – is path-breaking in Bahrain; it will enable customers to shift from a rental model of living to owned homes.”

Al Raffah Bahrain is scheduled to be developed in four phases, featuring villas, townhouses, apartments, and serviced residences as well as community recreation centres, F&B outlets, retail malls, new generation hotels, and leisure attractions that will create a sustainable community.
Botanical landscapes, walking trails, cycle paths, green spaces, parks, urban plazas and incredible natural views will define Al Raffah Bahrain as the place to live, relax and enjoy. The contemporary architectural features of the residences draw on influences from traditional Bahrain pottery, which is estimated to date from the Dilmun civilisation of 4th Millennium BCE.
Al Raffah Bahrain focuses on sustainability with careful consideration to draw on solar energy through the buildings’ orientation and landscape planning, as well as providing enhanced thermal comfort using shaded areas that cools the microclimate.
Nshmi International will be responsible for the development and project management of Al Raffah Bahrain. The project is expected to be launched in Bahrain and the GCC, as well as other international markets to draw on the strong demand for middle income housing in Bahrain.
