Global co-working space provider WeWork has come to the UAE with a new location in Abu Dhabi.
Shared office space manager WeWork has made its debut in the UAE with the official launch of WeWork x Hub71.
Offering 1,200 desks in the heart of the capital’s financial centre at Abu Dhabi Global Market, the three-storey building is WeWork’s first location in the UAE and is set to house Hub71’s global community of startups, venture capitalist firms and tech accelerators.
Another four new innovative startups will join the Hub71 Incentive Program – Jordanian company Rizek, UAE-based fintech companies Sarwa, denarii cash and US-based Securrency, a New York founded pioneer of blockchain technology – bringing the total number of startups at Hub71 to 39.
WeWork UAE General Manager Riad Thoumas said the collaboration with Hub71 meant the company could deliver an "unrivalled" experience its our new members.
"Abu Dhabi is an international hub for businesses, technology innovation and entrepreneurship, making it the perfect place for WeWork to expand our global platform and better serve our members," he said.

With 740 locations in 140 cities across 37 countries, there are over 662,000 WeWork memberships worldwide, representing companies from startups to Fortune 500 global enterprises.
