Kleindienst is set to deliver the first properties on part of The World development off the coast of Dubai, including 40 Floating Seahorse homes.
The first properties on the Heart of Europe, the mega-development that makes up part of The World islands are set for handover by the end of this year, developer Kleindienst has announced.
The properties, including 40 Floating Seahorses, will be delivered on the cluster of six islands that make up the Heart of Europe, located four kilometres off the coast of Dubai.
The Floating Seahorses are a group of 102 homes that have been designed to give the experience of on and under-water living, set in the coral reefs off Dubai.
In the same announcement, Kleindienst also said the opening of the five-star family-only Portofino Hotel is pencilled in for the turn of the year.
The Heart of Europe project will include the creation of a series of temperature-controlled streets that will allow guests to see snow fall outside in Dubai. To mark the announcement, and the anniversary of the hottest day ever recorded in the UAE (52.1 Celsius), Kleindienst put the snow machines to the test and made a summer snowman, a first for Dubai.

In December 2016, Kleindienst announced the selection of JK Bauen Building Contracting, Wuchang Ship Building Industry Group Co Ltd and Sino Great Wall International Engineering Co Ltd to complete the construction of The Heart of Europe. “The combination of JK Bauen’s vision and Wuchang’s experience will work hand-in-hand to bring the Heart of Europe to life. From the Floating Seahorses to the hotels on Main Europe Island, the building quality greatly exceeds construction regulations in the Middle East with durable materials and superior technique,” commented Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of Kleindienst.
The value of the Heart of Europe construction projects is worth over AED4.8 billion.
